Hi coaches! I'm Madelynne but everyone calls me Maddy, I started competing in track in field my freshman year in spring of 2022 directly following the 2021-2022 fall football and winter wrestling season. Initially for me track was going to just be a fun way to spend my afternoons and hangout with teammates from passed sports seasons. The 2022 season made me realize that I enjoyed track more than just time to hang out with friends. And my aspiration to compete at the colligate level grew, being a multi-sport student athlete has taught me a lot about time management, though I don't focus all of my time solely on my throws I am always working towards being a better athlete always working out and attending camps such as ironwood. I work as hard as I can to get as much out of every practice possible sometimes staying late to get in an extra 30 or 40 reps before heading home for the day, I have seen it firsthand how it pays off after the 2022 season ended, I was the first freshman in CHS history to break 100' and nearly missed state by 5". In addition, I understand the importance of being coachable and work my hardest to come to practice every day ready to get better and learn something new. In School I do my best to maintain the best grades possible and a high GPA all while being involved in what's going on at CHS. Joining Cedarcrest's FFA (Future Farmers of America) Chapter was one of the first things I did as a freshman knowing how we work closely with the community volunteering at large events such as our yearly veteran's day breakfast and nearby local farms. I also volunteer over the summer at my Church to help run Mission Impossible a free VBS for kids. I hope to find a collage that will allow me to push myself both academically and physically, helping shape me into a better leader, teammate and person that I hope to one day be. I am open to all options and would like to ultimately find the right match for me at the highest level of competition possible. Having the opportunity to compete at the collegiate level is a once in a lifetime opportunity that I would hate to miss out on.
