Joey Busse '19 Recruiting Profile

I am currently a senior a Humboldt High School in Humboldt, Iowa. It is a 3A School, in 3A District 2. I play quarterback and corner. I am excited to have the opportunity to play for a new coach this year, Derrick Elman. Coach Greg Thomas was my head coach for the last 3 years.

I am a 3 sport athlete. I have been a starting corner on my football team for 3 years and will be the starting QB for 2 years. My team has been in a very tough district but we have a great group of seniors who have played together since 5th grade. We have been working very hard this summer and will have a great season. I also wrestle and am a 3 time State qualifier, placing 6th last year at 145. I am a 3 year Captain and plan to break our school record for wins this year. I play baseball and will be the first 5 year starter in my school history. I have been a 3 year, baseball all conference selection. My team has been 2 time North Central Conference Champs and State qualifiers in 2015.

Academics are also very important to me and I have a 3.7 GPA, am in the Talented and Gifted Program, and have acquired many college credits. I scored a 25 on my ACT, but plan to take it again in October.
