Personal Statement
Collegiate football has always seemed like nothing more then a dream. Growing up, playing flag football or even two hand touch with my friends was just another way for me to stay active and burn off some energy.
Now, when I think of playing football at the collegiate level, I can't picture it any other way. To me, football is more then just a game. Football is about lifting the people around you higher than they thought imaginable, and being apart of something bigger then myself. Football has taught me how to lead, how to work for what I want, and how to have the determination and the fight to never quit.
Football is more than just what you do on the field. Football is about how you carry yourself, whether it's in the classroom, on the field or in the community. My dad has always told me that the two things you can control is your hustle and your effort. I work hard to be the best athlete, friend, brother, student and son that I can be. I'm a firm believer in the fact that everyday you have an impact on people and you get the option to choose if that is a negative or positive impact.
I'm currently going into my senior year under a captain role ready to lead. It is important to put the teams needs in front of my own. I am willing to do whatever it takes to win. I'm also pushing myself in the classroom to maintain my 3.6 GPA, and try to better myself in preparation for my physical training degree. I also participate in FCA and summer bible school camps along with baseball.
I want a college where I can compete on the field and push myself in the classroom. I'm excited to continue my recruiting process and find the right fit for me, because I believe that wherever I go is more then just a four year commitment.
