Personal Statement
Last year I was able to contribute to three of the four games my team won. To our team winning four games was a big deal because for the past 6 years we've only been able to win two games a season. My school being more focused on grades than athletics majority of the athletic kids go to surrounding schools. This giving me more reps and even more time to practice because of the few number of players. This was a gift but also a curse because the team is small and there's very little competition. Because of a small team as a sophomore I became a captain learned how to have responsibility of a team and players who were older and younger than me.
Being on a small team teaches you a lot because you have to know multiple positions and you know that you can't come out cause the person in line behind you can't do what you can do on the field. So it teaches you to push through pain and getting tired. To me being able to push through pain and fatigue is a huge part of football because it's such a demanding sport. From hard practices to going home after practice and practicing but when you love it getting better is all you want to do.
