Tate Dowdy '17 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing football since I was 11 years old and have always yearned to play "at the next level". I love the game and everything associated with it: practice, film study, game planning, off season training and game time. I  am a team player and embrace the idea of being a part of something bigger than myself. I have grown up with my Dad as a high school football coach, I have spent my entire life in the locker room and around the game from the inside and out. I have a great understanding for the work the coaches put into preparation and that has given a great perspective of the importance of practice and execution leading up to game day.

I am a hardworking and intelligent player. I feel I have a good understanding of concepts and can apply that to game situations. I play with high energy and try to lead by example.

I am very involved in my community. From August to October I spend weekends volunteering in our Junior Football League working with young players. I am also involved in many school and community organizations and try to give back to the community in any way I can.

My goal is to attend a college or university where I can achieve my goals: in the classroom, on the field and in life after football.

I am open to all options while trying to find the college or university that is the best fit for me.
