Gunner Slone '17 Recruiting Profile

As a student-athlete, my goal is to obtain a scholarship, or a walk-on opportunity with scholarship potential, to continue my career in football.  I truly believe that my selfless mentality and willingness to sacrifice for the betterment of the team is what would make me a good candidate/teammate.  Additionally, I have a blue collar work ethic which was instilled in my by my parents.  I am not afraid put in the long hours in order to ensure team success which is evident in being one of the first ones in our team facility and last ones to leave.  I believe that what sets me apart from other athletes is my work ethic and my leadership capability.  If given the opportunity, I will commit myself every day for my team and be supportive to the role I'm asked to take.
