Jace McDown '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jace McDown I am in 11th grade and attend Columbus Unified High School. I am 6''0 and weigh 220lbs. I have competed on our local wrestling team for the past 9 years and am a 5 x State Champ including winning high school state last year as a sophomore and I am a 16 x National Placer. Along with the local team I also have had the opportunity to travel on National teams for the past 3 years. I am also a member of our High School track team. I compete in the 100 meter dash Triple Jump and Long jump and usually place first or second and I hold four school records. My High School team went 11-2 last year and were State Runner Ups. I was a leader on both offense and defense on my team and worked hard to push my teammates past their limits to make our team the best that it could be. I have been playing football since I was five and have loved every second of it. Some people don't like hard work but I live for it, just knowing how it is going to help me out in the long run is what drives me. My main goal is to major in kinesiology and either be a PT or a Sports Medicine Physician.  I will work as hard as I need to at the college level to make my team the best as it can be. I would like to compete for a starting spot my Freshman Year where ever I go and make an impact on how my team performs.
