Personal Statement
Coaches,
I have academically qualified for all levels of competition. I maintain a 3.87 GPA and have a 24 on the ACT. I am looking for the college or university that wants a hard working, dedicated, player that believes in discipline, dedication, loyalty and being held accountable. I am a team player that understands the role of the QB. I accept responsibility of the position and have the leadership qualities needed to lead a team. I want to play for an experienced staff that expects the best from their players and the team as a whole. I have been raised with high moral values and I have unwavering integrity. I am a tireless worker and understand the sacrifices and work ethic required to play QB at the collegiate level. I am a coaches son that loves and understands the game. I have attended several QB camps (Murray State University, Western Kentucky University in 2012 & University of Louisville in 2013). I have participated in several NUC Combines and skill competitions. I led our offensive unit to a fifth place finish in the 2013 Music City Classic 7 on 7 Tournament at Vanderbilt University that was comprised of 40 teams. I also led our team to an undefeated record in capturing our West Kentucky Conference 7 on 7 Championship. I have a accurate arm and make excellent decisions in the zone read and power option run game. I can make the throws, grip it & rip it, on the screen game. This season I passed for over 1400 yards and 15 TD's verse only 5 Interceptions. I was 93-155 passing for 60% completion rate. I ran for over 800 yards and scored rushing TD's. We finished at 10-3 and lost to eventual 4A state runner-up Owensboro 29-28 in the regional championship. QB Hit List has me ranked as the 10th ranked graduating QB in the State of Kentucky. I was first Team All-Western Kentucky Conference, I was first Team all-county and was our Teams comeback Player of the Year after returning from my junior season that was cut short by injury (broken fibula during my 4th game). I have lettered 4 years in football and have been a member of the Maroon powerlifting team since the 7th grade. I placed third in the 181 lb. division of the 2014 Kentucky State Powerliting Meet. I am also a 2 year letterman in track and ran a leg of our state qualifying 4X100 Team.
My goal as QB is to lead the team down the field by moving the chains by limiting mistakes and getting the ball to our best athletes on time and in position to make plays. I am more interested in winning games than individual stats and understand the QB is only one piece of an offensive unit. I want the opportunity to earn time and play at what ever position the coaching staff believes I can benefit the team. I want to learn as much about the game as possible, because I want to join the coaching fraternity upon graduation from college.
Future Student Athlete,
