As a freshman I was able to secure the starting QB position. As a team we won District and were Region Runner ups. As sophomores we played in the 5A state championship game and lost to a 3 -year-undefeated team.
In 2014, my junior year, we won the 5A state championship, the first title in our schools history! This title meant a lot to me because of the extreme adversity I had to overcome. In seventh game of the year (televised on ESPN), I broke my collarbone in two places and I thought my season was over. I had surgery the next day and began working harder than I ever had trying to rehab. By God's grace, I was able to return 5 weeks later in the region championship game and eventually lead my team to the championship. I learned a lot about myself last year, mainly that I love the sport and will do whatever it takes to put myself in a position to succeed. Since then, I have had a drive to work hard and passion for the game that I believe is second to none and something I take pride in.
Personally I hope to continue to improve my stats each year and concentrate on getting bigger and better. I plan to attend a few camps and combines to motivate me to be the best I can be for my team. Staying healthy will be the key to all of this.
I do plan to play football in college. At this time I am concentrating on my high school team and will be happy to look at all opportunities if they come my way in the future.
