Dshaie Landor '12 Recruiting Profile

I was born November 12, 1993 in Martin Army Hospital located in Fort Benning Georgia. I was the first born child of Lavern Landor and Andres Landor who was serving in the U.S. Army when I was born. As an infant, my family and I relocated to my father's home state of Louisiana. I grew up playing and loving the game of football. At the very young age of 6 my father began teaching me about the game and actually coached me until reaching high school. At the age of 7, I started playing flag football and with the coming years progressed on to a little league tackle league. The position of quarterback has always been the position of choice for me and I practiced this position extensively. My playing time in little league prep football was very successful and it was during that time that people began to notice even at a very young age my arm strength and accuracy. I started off as quarterback as a seventh grader for the middle school I attended. During the summer leading to my eighth grade year, I began practicing at a local high school with their varsity team which improved my skills at the position greatly and helped me to lead my eighth grade team to an undefeated season and championship. Once entering my high school freshmen year, I started at quarterback for my school's Junior varsity team and ascertained a lot from my coaching staff and senior players . In 2009 I entered my sophomore year and was given the opportunity to lead our team on the field as their quarterback. I also lead our team to the state Seni Finals in My Junior year. I give much thanks to the support of my family, the numerous football camps I have attended and my previous and present coaches for my playing ability. Out of the many things I admire about my head coach Sonny Charpentier, one thing I admire the most is how he cares about his players as people and not just as positions and tools on his team. My goal is to give my team 100 percent on every snap both in practice and in games for the next two years in high school, and hopefully I will be given the same opportunity to do the same on a college campus.I have been the leader of the teams i was a part of since the age of 7, so leading a team into battle is not new to me. I would love to go to school within driving range of my parents residence in such states as Texas, Louisiana, Miss,Alabama,Ga,Florida,Tenn,and Oklahoma,to name a few.I would also like to go to a school where i could play at least three years. I have always had dreams of playing in the NFL and realize I must take it one step at a time. It was always instilled in me how academics and athletics complement each other .So at this time, I'm just focused on being the best high school student and quarterback I can be.
