I prefer to be called Jay. I have been a starter since my freshman year on the varsity football team. I was named first team All-State sophomore year as an athlete and junior year as a quarterback. Currently, I hold my school's record for most touchdowns in a career. My father, Herb Tyler, started 4 years at quarterback for LSU and was the first African-American quarterback in team history. I currently hold offers from Harvard, Yale, Dartmouth, Air Force, and Georgetown but am still not sure what is the best fit for me as of yet. Outside of football, I have a 3.9 GPA and have been selected as a captain of the football team my junior and senior years. I was also voted on the homecoming court and was selected as a peer leader as a senior.
