I am the sleeper you’re looking for. I play quarterback for St. Mary’s Catholic but I attend the Louisiana School for Math, Science and the Arts. They are both in Natchitoches, Louisiana. LSMSA is a public boarding school for the brightest high school students in Louisiana designed to give them an introduction into college life. I am from New Orleans where I played varsity football for St. Augustine High School during my freshman and sophomore years. St Aug is where Benjarvus Green-Ellis, Tyrann Mathieu, and most recently Leonard Fournette played and has put thirty-three players into the National Football League. I was on track to start my junior year, had attended invite-only camps such as Rivals, Top Gun and NUC 5 Star and been written up by 247Sports, Varsity Preps, and Scout.com. I transferred to LSMSA for a more challenging curriculum and to get ready for college. I thought football was over for me, but I found out I could play with St. Mary’s.
I am a true scholar athlete and have prepared myself to perform on the next level. Leaving home for my last two years of high school, taking college level courses and living on campus in the dorms will make my transition to college that much easier. Joining a new team at a school that I don’t technically attend and assuming a leadership role shows I have the skills necessary to lead a college program.
