Stephen Garcia III '14 Recruiting Profile

My name is Stephen Garcia III and I'm a senior at Slidell High.  I am 5'9" and weigh 155 pounds.  I currently am a starting wide receiver and a backup cornerback for my varsity team, and also have recently been named team captain. I have played football since I was 5 years old and have played multiple positions on both offense and defense.  I'm looking for a great school to enhance my education as well as letting me continue to play the sport that I love.

Growing up in Louisiana, football has always been a way of life for me.  Playing football at the college level has been a dream of mine since my Pawpaw first introduced me to an LSU football game!  Since that day, I have strived to be the best teammate and player I could possibly be.  Over the years, my coaches have instilled in me that the team is bigger than yourself and that has followed me off the field as well.

I understand that being a receiver doesn't just mean catching the ball but also being there to block for my teammates.  I'm a dedicated player and am willing to play any position that will best benefit the success of a program.  My favorite quote is "If you want succeed as bad as you want to breathe, you will be successful!"
