Personal Statement

My name is Ruben Varela, I am a student-athlete at Kenner Discovery Health Science Academy in Kenner, Louisiana. I am a kicker and a punter, and I am very determined and have a lot of discipline. Last year I had a long of 30 yards, and the year before I had a long of 33 yards. I am a two time 1st all-district recipient and I am a hard working person on and off the field. My career long is 47 yards. I always put academics before the sport, as I finished my first semester with a 3.36 GPA.
