Personal Statement
My name is Landon King. I am 6'1" and weigh 220 lbs. I am an OLB at Pineville High School in Pineville, LA. I previously played RB/FB for the Rebels. At my coach's request, I transitioned from offense to defense during my senior year to help strengthen the team. I've been a varsity player since my freshman year and a starting player since my sophomore year. Although my high school career has consisted mainly of playing offense, I must admit that I enjoy playing defense as well. I played both sides of the field throughout my little league and middle school years. Playing football is my passion. However, I strive to be a leader on and off the field. I'm an active member of Student Council and the National Honor Society.
I look forward to attending college not only to show off my talents on the field, but also to obtain a quality education that will prepare me for the job market and the journey ahead. I have challenged myself academically by taking Pre-AP classes to prepare for college courses. I pride myself on being able to maintain a healthy balance between family, school, and sports. I accredit this balance to my spiritual walk with God.
My mindset separates me from other athletes. I am focused, determined, and committed to being the best student, athlete, and member of society that I can be. I am confident in my abilities to excel in the classroom and on the football field. I am disciplined and driven by my passion to succeed in life. My versatility, competitiveness, and aggressiveness are sure to be an asset to the "right" football program.
