Neal Tipton '18 Recruiting Profile

I am a senior at Calvary Baptist Academy. I have signed a NLI with Tyler Junior College and will start in July of 2018.  My football team won district in 2016 and 2017. We made it to the 2nd round of playoffs both years. I was also selected to play in the Blue-Grey All American Bowl in Jacksonville FL in January of 2018. My team won the Championship at that game. I really enjoy playing football because it is a great way to impose my strength and size on others. I also enjoy the connections I get to make with my teammates and coaches. I like the fact that the harder I work the better I get and I enjoy pushing myself on and off the field. and I have been on the powerlifting team in 2017 and 2018, it is something I love doing and it also helps me on the football field. In March of 2018, I won first place in Louisiana in the Super Heavy Weight Division. My squat was 500 lbs, bench press 365 lbs., dead lift 550 lbs. Total combined lift 1,415 lbs.  My team also won 1st place in State. In March of 2017, I placed 3rd in Louisiana in the 2A Super Heavy Weight division in powerlifting and made the All-Area Powerlifting Team. My total combined lift was 1,250 lbs. Currently I can bench 405lbs, and squat 500lbs, dead lift 550 lbs I played basketball from 1st -9th grade and now play for recreation, I also love to hunt, snow ski, wakeboard and shoot sporting clays. My maternal grandfather,  Joe Hinton, was a collegiate All-American at LA Tech and is a member of their athletic Hall of Fame.  My uncle, Jerry Hinton, played football at LA Tech from 1981 to 1985.
