Personal Statement
My name is Quentin Jones and I am currently a sophomore at Dean Junior College in Franklin Massachusetts and I will be graduating with my Associates this spring. I am 19 years old, 6ft tall and weigh 240 pounds.
I currently start at DE which is my primary position, but I have also played middle linebacker, nose guard, D-tackle, tight end, and fullback. Presently I'm ranked third in the conference for QB sacks. I'm a pretty fast lineman getting off the ball. I have great game speed and I’m working to improve my overall speed.
My high school junior season I was awarded first team all-western mass DE by the league and Defensive Player of the Year on my team. My senior year I was captain of my team and was awarded First Team All-Conference Utility Player by the league. I was also Old Spice "Player of the Week" for several weeks.
I was named MVP Defensive Lineman at the National Underclassmen Combine and I was also selected 1 out 5 Outstanding Performers at the Mangini Football Fundamentals Mini Camp which consisted of over 700 participants hosted by Coach Eric Mangini in Hartford CT.
I have attended numerous 5-star camps to improve my skill, including nationally recognized Football University.
Academically, I am working toward my Associates Degree in Psychology. I expect to graduate this spring (2014). My hope is to transfer and continue my athletic and academic careers. I'm a focused young man who can bring leadership and sportsmanship to a team. I am a very hard worker and I strive to be the best person and player I can be on and off the field.
