Personal Statement
I am Darren Cornelius Burgess senior at Mcdonough highschool and if there is one thing I believe in and focus on is that the work you put in equals the opportunities and success you can open up. I am a strong believer in working for happiness. I have been playing football my whole highschool career and my work ethic has become exemplary as I grow older. I believe I can attack any physical task and get over it like no other, but it may not have been so easy to pick up from my GPA of a 2.3
My grades and attitude in the past years have be come a sort of hindrance to the college opportunities in the future but with the mind set I have gathered from being told no from my past mistakes has mad me built wise and a work horse for the future outcomes positivity. Being in this academic situation, who I can only blame myself. I have to be have to be honest, most college options I gain I can not me too picky about. I am ready to perform and achieve great things and bring pride to my family and college campus atmosphere. My honors as a weight lifter and performer on the field would love to be converted into a college athlete with the right chances and be the great player I know I can be.
I believe that you must work for what you get in this life and if it is easy it isn't fun and on a final note. I am finishing high school off strong and am working hard to achieve my goals. To who ever may be reading this I would like to say life can teach you some things and with these challenges we face it is our choice to decide where it shall take us, and with my challenges it was made a great leader and a strong minded person that would be honored to excel a football team as much and as hard as I possibly can.
