Personal Statement
My name is Elijah Torres, I am 16 years young, 6'0, and 185 lbs. Football has always been a passion of mine, at a young age I couldn't wait to be in third grade to start playing football. The fall of my third grade year marked the beginning of my football experience. Since then as a youth league football player I had experiences of playing on the UMASS college football field for Super Bowls. I always envisioned myself playing at the college level and cannot believe that it is right around the corner. In High School, as a Freshman I played JV and Varsity and started in both playing Running Back and Corner. As a Freshman I was awarded the Big Brown Award, the award is given to acknowledge a Freshman that has stood out in the team. In my Sophomore and Junior year I started varsity Running Back and Outside Linebacker. As a Junior I had a break out game with 189 yards rushing, 3 touch downs (1 rushing and 1 receiving, 1 on special teams), with a 98 yard kick return and an 80 yard touchdown run. Always seeking to improve and gain experience I participate in Combines and Football Camps. I have always been humbled by my ability to take the field and play a sport that I love and that could not be more true as I look forward to my senior year in high school, looking ahead with excitement for what's next as my high school football career comes to a close and I embark on a new journey in my College football career.
