Jason Opper '17 Recruiting Profile

The first time I truly knew that I wanted to play College football was when I played up two age groups in the Shrewsbury American Youth Football League and was instrumental in winning our first Super Bowl. I became more motivated than ever after my second game sophomore year on varsity when a college recruiter approached me after the game and told me that “I was clearly the best defensive player on the field”. During my sophomore year, I was asked to step into the starting role on varsity, where I led the team in tackles through the last four games of the season. I also take pride in being labelled as the hardest hitter on the Team. I am a person who is self-motivated, has a positive attitude, is a team leader and always takes the opportunity to lift others up regardless of the circumstances.

I want to choose the right institution which will challenge me to grow and succeed both academically and athletically. Additionally, I believe that my positive attitude, character, and leadership skills will also help me impact your school and football program in a constructive way.
