Personal Statement

I will bring leadership, determination and a strong work ethic to your football organization. I served as Captain of my Junior Varsity football team and represented my school on and off the field with dignity, sportsmanship and honor.  I was elected as the Junior class Vice President and also excel in my academic studies.  In addition to football I also participate on the Track and Field Team and throw the Discus and Shot Put. I was invited to the MIAA Championship Meet in the winter of 2014 and spring of 2015.  I am interested in the field of psychology and plan that as my major in college.  I am a very hard worker in the weight room and on the field. I take constructive criticism to heart and will work hard to correct any deficiencies. I understand the importance of great team chemistry and work hard to make the group a TEAM. I am willing to stay after practice and work with my quarterback or fellow linemen to better the individual and the team. I will strive to win a college championship during my college career.

  • At MSJ Offensive Lineman execute this program 3 times a week. Your body needs the other days to rest and build muscle. We execute the exercises in the order listed. They are listed intentionally from your largest muscle group to the smallest. This way MSJ maximizes body preferences so they are the freshest when working your largest muscle groups so that you can achieve maximum results with these large muscle groups. Each of the exercises, execute 4 sets of 5-8 reps. Lineman do as many reps as possible. Once you can do 8 or more reps in each of your 4 sets, then increase the weight by 5lbs. It is essential to have a sheet where you can keep track of your progress so that you can be sure to increase the next time you lift. The routine: Squat Bench Press Calves Bicep Curl Military Press (Forward, Reverse, Fwd., Rev.) Leg Curl Alternate Incline/Decline Bench Press Wide-Grip Pullups Tricep Pull-Down One Arm Dumbell Row Good Morning/Back Extension Reverse WideGrip, Underhand and Overhand Pullups, Dips Run. I change up my bench press routine (5 add 5, pyramid, 4x5-8) every week. Changing up the routine helps me stay motivated.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
