Personal Statement
The culmination of my junior season left a bad taste in my mouth. We failed to convert a touchdown from the 1 yard line that would have given us the lead as well as an I.A.C championship title. Since this game, I have been working tirelessly to become bigger, faster, stronger, and develop as a team leader. During my junior season I played at 6ft 1 in, 215 lbs. I am currently 6ft. 2 in, 265 lbs. My best asset as a defensive player is my get off from the line. I run a 4.47 pro shuttle, have a 29in vertical, bench 320lbs,and squat 450lbs. I hold my school's power clean record with a max of 300lbs. It is my goal to raise this record to, at the very least, 315lbs. Only 2 points away from a 90% average over the past 3 years, I have made it my personal goal to go that extra mile in the classroom in my senior year. On the field I am tenacious, relentless, physical, and give 110% effort on every play. I am looking for a college with a great journalism program that will prepare me for a career in the sports journalism field. Ideally I would like to attend a university that develops its athletes not only athletically, but academically as well. When I graduate, I want to be seen as a man who gave 100% effort on every play on the field, and every day in the classroom.
