Personal Statement

I am Marcus Wingate: 5'8", 180lb., 4.5 40 speed, 265 max bench, 400 max squat, 250 power clean, and 31" vertical. I am a team captain with all area honors. I have all-conference honors as a student. I am leader through various mediums: football, team captain; basketball, team captain; DECA, vice president;  Business Professionals of America (BPA), president; and I am a member of the National Honor Society, whose prestige is built upon character and leadership. My work ethic is unmatched in the weight room and academics. I have had a rigorous academic schedule, taking nearly every honors class my school has to offer. Through the rigorous schedule, I maintained a 3.88 GPA on a 4-point scale and got a 23 on my ACT. In considering colleges, I am football player, and I want to play football anywhere i can. However, respectively, I would like to play in the South, East, Midwest, or West in a big school environment. The academic level I prefer is high so I can continue to further my education while helping my school's program to a national championship. I am open to all types of schools because it is an opportunity to play the sport I love and earn my degree in computer science. My goal is to be the best player I can be on any level that wants to help me reach this goal. I have a hunger to be the best and build a relationship with my teammates. I will unquestionably be the hardest worker any schools program has ever seen.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
