My name is Cody Van Tubergen. I am a senior at West Ottawa High School in Holland Michigan. I am a 6'3", 230 # DE for the 3rd largest high school in Michigan. I have played a total of 33 sport seasons in different 7 different sports. My high school years focused on three sports, basketball for 2 years, lacrosse and football all four years. Through all the years and seasons everything came back to how it made me a better football player. My JV season was my break out year as a two way player ( RG & DE). Coach Van Allsberg was one of my strongest influences in life as well as football. My junior season was a major frustration. The week after Lacrosse ended my appendix ruptured forcing emergency surgery and 30 days of a 10# weight restriction 6 weeks before football started. With just two weeks before training camp after my restriction was lifted my strength and stamina were not where they needed to be and my season showed it. Having just finishing my senior season I am very pleased to play again at the level I expected of myself.
For two years now I have been working at a carwash/ gas station and truly enjoy the opportunity to see how a small business operates. This has peaked my desire and interest in business to the point I would like to study business management with the goal of owning my own business some day.
