Personal Statement
Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile. The opportunity to play football at the collegiate level is something I have worked my whole life for. Having always been an athlete and playing a variety of sports (I have been recruited to play 3 sports in college), nothing compares to it and my heart and soul lies on the football field.
My style of play is smart, quick, and hard-hitting; the style you are looking for in a middle linebacker. I have been earned several honors, like Team Defensive MVP, All-Conference, All-County, and All Metro East honors. I have pushed myself in and out of the classroom, which translated into quick reads and excellent decision-making skills on the field and a 3.87 GPA and a 30 on the ACT. I am a leader in both realms, having been elected a team captain in multiple sports such as football, lacrosse, and soccer throughout the years and was Student Council Vice President my sophomore year.
However, you are probably wondering why I do not have any senior film; I tore my ACL during our preseason scrimmage and missed my entire senior year. However, that is now behind me as I was cleared on January 12th, 2015. I completed the surgery/rehab process in 4 ½ months, faster than most people who have this happen to them. That is the type of athlete that I am.
However, as we all know academics comes first. Due to my grades and ACT score, I have received alot of academic scholarship offers and decided to "hang up my cleats". I have accepted an very attractive academic offer from a local university with a very good business program and reputation. Again, thank you for viewing my profile and best of luck in the upcoming season.
