Austin Cline '17 Recruiting Profile

My goals have always been to attend college and earn a degree, but playing football while doing so is an aspiration.  As I head into my senior year at Edwardsburg High School, my focus will be on academics as I will be prepping for college classes.  I have an outgoing personality and attentive to detail, given the reason why I am pursuing a degree in Sales/Marketing and Accounting.   I am a 3yr Varsity athlete for football, 4yr Varsity athlete for wrestling, and also play Varsity baseball.  Determined to play football at the next level, I have the ability to manage my sport schedules and academics. 

During my sophomore year, I was a starting OLB and Running Back for Varsity and helped lead the team as Conference Champions, Regional Champions, and a participant in the Final 4 at Semi-State.  I was nominated to be on the 2^nd Team All-Conference and led the team in tackles.  My junior year, I was a starting OLB and Running Back.  We were Conference Champions and I was awarded to the 1^st Team All-Conference and led the team in tackles again. During my senior year I lead my team in tackles for the third year in a row. i also helped lead my team to another Conference Champions, Regional Champions and made it to the final four.  I consider myself a Hybrid OLB/Safety and can adjust to any position when necessary.  I devote most of my abilities to wrestling, as I have been on a travel team since I was 6yrs old.  During my junior year I was awarded 1^st Team All-Conference for wrestling also.  I am disciplined and understand the sacrifices made, in order to be the best athlete I can be.  I practice and play each game like it’s my last.
