Personal Statement
Ever since I started participating in athletics at a very young age, I have excelled. Because of this, I have always been held at a high expectation to succeed at whatever it is I put my mind to. Being raised by parents that were both highly gifted athletes in their high school days, they've taught me how in order to be the best, I must outwork all of the other competition. What puts me above other student athletes my age is that I will put in more work, and do whatever it takes to place myself among the top. I've been raised to be highly coach-able, and listen to all advice given to me with an intent to use it to make myself even more successful. The obstacles I have faced, such as always being the skinniest starter on my team from junior high to varsity, has taught me that hard work will push me through any problem I face, and I will come out a champion, knowing I am always doing my best.
