Personal Statement
I am not a sideline kind of kid. I want to be in the mix. I want to play. I have been blessed to be a three-sport varsity athlete while in high school, but my passion has and will always be football.
Muhammad Ali said, "Champions are made from something they have deep inside them - a desire, a dream, a vision." My desire to play at a collegiate level is demonstrated in my energy, work ethic and my ability to be coached. I want to be faster, stronger and smarter every time I walk onto a field, or into a gym. I am a competitor who has a desire to be better daily, and I come prepared. Knowing and studying my opposition makes me a better athlete. I take pride in being a student of not only my game, but my opponents as well. My dreams of being able to play college football started as a three-year-old punting footballs and then attempting to catch them in my front yard. I had big plays and dreams back then and no one ever told me they weren't possible. Today that vision remains the same whenever I step onto a field as part of a team. Every catch, kick, or tackle I attempt I believe is possible.
I've been raised to understand the big picture in life. I take pride in making a difference. I volunteer weekly helping disabled kids become better swimmers, I raise money for ALS annually, and I just returned from helping at an orphanage in Honduras. Giving back is an important part of who I am and I plan on continuing these passions while attending college.
I want to attend a college where I can be and become my best on the field and in the classroom. I want to be challenged and play at the highest level and I am willing to do the work. My passion is football and I will be proud to wear the colors of a school who believes in me. I am all in! http://www.nationalcampseries.com/ratings.asp?gradyear=2016&eventid=1&etype=fg
