Personal Statement
My name is Tyson Estes and I am a running back at Chaffee Jr./Sr. High School in Chaffee, Missouri. My dream and goal is to play football at the next level and I will do anything necessary to accomplish my goal. I am an extremely hard worker both on the field and off. I currently hold a 3.55 GPA and am in the process of improving that number to a 3.8 or higher. I set extremely lofty goals for myself and believe I can do anything I set my mind to. This past fall I was voted by my team members as the most valuable back, the most valuable player, and the most inspirational. I am 5'6" in height and I am currently holding a bodyweight of 162 lbs. with 9 percent body fat. Although I may be small in stature, my performance on the field is big. I am currently in the process of gaining clean muscle weight and hope to weigh around 175 lbs. this upcoming fall. Like I have already said, I am an extremely hard worker and can always be found in the weight room or trying to improve my skills on the football field. I am the first one in the weight room and the last one out, the first one on the practice field and the last one off. I also currently hold a membership to a public gym for the days that our school's weight room is closed. Some of the numbers I have put up are a 270 lbs. bench press, a 365 lbs. squat, and a 225 lbs. power clean. I have a 36" vertical jump and run 4.24 seconds in the pro agility. I was timed at a 4.6 in the 40 at the U.S. Army Junior Combine in San Antonio, Tx. but have been timed at a 4.49 verified by athletic republic. I continue to do speed work every day and I am currently shaving time off of my 40 while gaining weight at the same time. I also run track in the spring to stay in shape and was timed at a 11.4 in the 100 meter last year. I am looking to break 11 seconds in the 100 meter soon to hold the school record. I was also all-state in the 4x200 meter relay. I can bring many assets to any college team that finds value in my ability. I am very quick and can beat defenders on my first step. I am also very elusive and defensive players are never able to get a solid hit on me. I can hide behind offensive lineman and burst out of nowhere because of my great explosiveness. I am very flexible and versatile and can play slot receiver or any special teams position. I catch the ball well out of the backfield and have good field vision. I am able to make cuts at full speed and beat defenders one on one in the open field. The greatest assets I could bring to a college team is hard work, leadership, and a winning attitude. I thank God for the ability he has blessed me with and look forward to helping a college team in continuing a winning tradition very soon.
Respectfully,
Tyson Estes
