Personal Statement
One thing I have learned playing football for the past 8 years is that hard work will pay off in the end. I was a lineman while playing little league until the 6th grade then I was moved to fullback. I wasn't the fastest or strongest player on the field and I did not get as much play time as I desired. Watching from the sidelines put a burning desire inside of me to work hard and strive to reach my full potential. In the off season I began to workout and practice regularly. The following season I was moved to starting running back and I began to excel. I earned my way to being 1 of 2 sophomore varsity starters.
Football taught me how to manage my time effectively and still be able to enjoy going to other high school events, work, play baseball and hang out with friends. I look forward to pursuing a career in medicine. While pursing my education and career goals, I want to be able to continue to play the sport I love, football. One expectation I have for my future is to work as hard as I can and to be the best I can be.
Thank you for your time and I look forward to making connections with you in the future.
