Personal Statement
My love for football began when I was 5 years old. I began playing in youth organizations at age 6 and have, up until last year, attended contact football camps (Ram's and O-D) every year. I am a hard worker and I am always striving to improve my skills at every area of the game. This includes training before and after school and practice hours - I greatly improved my strength over the years and my most successful lift is my Power Clean (245). I have successfully played and won awards as a running back, defensive back, quarterback, and wide receiver. I am very coachable and love learning and excelling at the skills where my team needs my talents the most. I am a team player and my coaches and peers recognized my leadership ability by awarding me Team Captain in both varsity football and basketball in my Junior and Senior years.
It has been my dream since the first day I stepped on the field to play at the college level and I have done all I can to prepare for that moment. My family has stressed that academics come first so I made sure I performed as well there as I have on the field. College will allow me to pursue my dream in sports management but football will be the catalyst that will make my educational experience even more rewarding. I look forward to the challenges both offer.
I will do whatever is needed to make my team successful. I am athletic, competitive, and intelligent. Throughout my football experiences I have demonstrated my capability to learn and excel at a number of positions. I look forward to excelling on your team doing whatever is needed to win.
