My goals as a student-athlete are to excel in the classroom, be the most versatile lineman on the field, and be a leader of men. I believe my passion for football, work ethic on and off the field, and my educational background qualify me as a great candidate for your football team.

What separates me from other athletes is my drive to perfect every aspect of my game. If I make a mistake, I learn what led to committing the error, and adapt so I never make the same mistake twice.

I know there is always room to grow and I am actively looking for ways to improve my craft. I digest critiques from coaches and am eager to absorb their teachings. I choose to be a student of the game not only to better myself as a player, but to better the team. If I am not improving, then my play suffers, and one weak link can affect the entire chain. My position coach always tells me, “Your body is stronger than your mind.” That is a motto I live by when I am working out, practicing, and performing on Friday nights.

As a student at St. John Vianney High School, I am learning to become a man of Character and Accomplishment. Whether it be on the football field, in the classroom, or in my community, I am putting others before myself. I am learning to be a man for others and to go beyond the call for my teammates and others.

Thanks to my parents, I have learned to listen, learn, and apply what I have been taught to my daily life. My ability to absorb knowledge has transferred over to my football life and it has made me a coachable athlete and a driven student of the game.
