Personal Statement
I started playing football in school as a seventh grader. I soon discovered that my years of competitive soccer had prepared me to be an excellent kicker, and I started kicking for the school's varsity team as a freshman. As a junior, I set the Missouri state record for the most number of field goals in one season. I was chosen 1st team All State and 1st team All Metro. This year, I was able to score a game-winning field goal with only 0.7 seconds remaining on the clock. In the future, I will continue to do everything that is required to improve my ability in football. I am teachable and will continue to practice hard. I am a team player and encourage others on my team. It is my desire to play football at the collegiate level, and I dream of ultimately kicking for the NFL.
As a football player, I want to be the best that I can be both on and off the field. Achieving a solid education is also very important to me. I want to achieve the highest level of my potential in academics, and I will study hard.
Most importantly, I hope to be known as a person of integrity.
I desire to attend a college where I can be challenged and challenge others in the dorm, the classroom and the football stadium. I am open to all options and would like to find a college that matches my talents and provides a place for personal and academic growth.
