Personal Statement
My main goal after high school is to become a student athlete in college and major in Engineering, specifically Mechanical Engineering. What makes me different from other recruits is I never lose. I either win or I learn!
Athletics - I finished my Junior year season, (2018), starting all 11 varsity games as DT and OG with 62 tackles, 29 solo tackles, 33 assists, 1 fumble recovery, 1 blocked punt, 3 caused fumbles, 5 sacks and averaged 5.6 tackles per game. I was the second most leading tackler on my team for the season. I received MFCA 2018 Academic All-State Football Team Award, All Conference 1st Team Honorable Mention and All District Honors for Defensive Lineman. I currently am 6’1" tall and weigh 235 lbs. My max squat is 325 lbs, max dead-lift is 405 lbs and max bench press is 225 lbs. My main focus this past off season is explosive power, speed, agility, flexibility, core strength and weight gain. I also attended Rose Hulman Institute of Technology Elite Football Camp and Dordt College Prospect Camp over the summer of 2019.
Academics - I lead by example. I finished my Junior year with a GPA of 3.909 unweighted and a 4.349 weighted. My cumulative GPA is 3.8 unweighted and 3.946 weighted. I have received Academic Excellence Awards my Freshman, Sophomore and Junior years and Honor Roll every semester from my Freshman year to current. I have accomplished 11 College Credit hours through University of Central Missouri and Central Methodist University. My Senior year class schedule consists of Spanish I, Ag Construction, dual credit Intro to Chemistry, dual credit Engineering Technology, dual credit English Comp II, dual credit American History and dual credit College Algebra through University of Central Missouri and State Fair Community College. My ACT Composite score is a 27, 22 Math, 24 English, 31 Reading, 30 Science.
Accomplishments - Besides football, I am very active within Windsor High School. I am a multi-sport varsity athlete with Track & Field throwing the Javelin and Shot Put. I am part of National Honors Society, Student Council, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and FFA. My Junior year I was the Windsor FFA Chapter Treasurer and Student Council Vice President. My Senior year I am Student Council President, National Honor Society Report.
Character - I am a coach-able athlete that will do anything my team needs. Coach Vencill, Windsor Head Football Coach, feels I am "honest, extremely trustworthy and shows leadership qualities in the classroom and athletic playing field". My teachers feel I have "Good Leadership Ability", that I am a "Fine & Serious Student", and that I am a "Conscientious Worker", according to their comments on my report card.
Community Service - In addition to being active within Windsor High School, I am also very active within my local community. I currently work on a cattle farm as a ranch hand attending to over 30 head of cattle. Some responsibilities I have as a ranch hand is feeding, watering, vaccinating, baling hay and general maintenance. I have a part-time job at Whiteman Air Force Base Commissary bagging groceries. I also volunteer at the Sedalia Animal Shelter and the Warrensburg Veterans Home.
