Derrick Moore '18 Recruiting Profile

My goals are to become a successful person at whatever I may do. I am a very hard working and smart student. When I am being coached, I only listen and respond when I am asked to. I like to encourage others even if it leads to them replacing me. I feel that I am different because of my attitude towards my goal is greater than anyone else's. I also come from a very supportive neighborhood. They always push me to do better and tell me that my skills have no limits. I may be young but I am very mature. I've taken my ACT test my 9th grade year and scored a 21 on my first try. The reason why I would like to play football is simply because I began playing since the age of 5 years old. I didn't like football as much then. I only played to occupy my time but as I matured football has become a part of me. My coaches always told me "Derrick football is where you're going to make your money." I would laugh and say "Coach I'm not playing this sport for the money. I play because this is something I love and enjoy doing."
