Hi, my name is Sam Vaughn. I am currently a senior at Lamar High School. I love the sport of football, and it is my dream to play at the next level as a running back. I plan to study engineering at a school with high academic standards. I would be thankful for the opportunity to play at any level and study engineering. As a sophomore, I started on a state championship team. I received Second Team All Division that year, and my junior year I received that same award even though I missed the last four games of the season due to a broken collar bone. I am currently playing in my senior season. I also take my academics seriously. I have a 4.07 GPA and a 35 on my ACT, and I was named a National Merit Semi-Finalist. I love helping and encouraging my teammates to get better. I have played soccer for many years which has helped to improve my vision while running the ball. I feel like I would make a difference on a college football program and I will work as hard as it takes to improve and help the team. I am 100% committed to playing college football.
