My name is Robert Farris and I am a 16 year old Junior at Oxford High School. I love the game of football. I have been playing the game since a very young age and have grown as a person, and an athlete every year. Currently, I play defensive end on a very highly rated Oxford High team going 12-2 and only expecting growth in its next years. I started for the varsity team at a very young age. Last year, in 2011, they moved me up to start at Outside ted linebacker as a freshman which was a very big honor which is a very rare thing for our school to do. I played very well as a freshman, being only 6'1 weighing around 195 at the time (I also led the team in tackles per game with an average of 12 per game). This year, they moved me to start at Defensive End. I am around 6 foot 5 and weigh around 230. What I lack in weight and strength I make up in speed, running around a 4.49 forty (timed by Coach Russel, Cutcliffe, and Hill) I am attending the NUC top 100 underclassmen camp in the spring. I also plan to go to the sparq combine to get accurate data from a third party source for my key measurables. I believe the game of football should be played two ways - Full Speed and violent. If you are going full speed, hitting hard, and doing your best, there is not much more you can do to have a better preformance. Effort, passion, and heart, I believe, is what gets someone to the colliegate level. Thats what I have to offer you. A strong desire and determination to improve my game.
