I knew that I loved football since the first time I stepped on the field in 4th grade. Since then I have made it my goal to make it to the collegiate level. Not having naturally gifted size or athletic ability I am aware of the how tough the challenge will be. Also playing for a team with only 8 players on the field makes it hard to get noticed. There is nothing that I want more than to make it to the college level and despite the challenges I am willing to do whatever it takes to make it happen.
With the disadvantages that I have I knew that I would need to work much harder than anyone to make it where I want to go. That is where I do have an advantage. I have a work ethic like no other that never stops. When I have a goal or something is asked of me I will not stop until it's done. I am always working to get bigger, faster, and stronger. On the field and at school I am a natural leader. I encourage people to be the best that they can be and help them along the way. I am very coachable and will always do what is asked of me.
The classroom and grades never came natural to me but I am aware of their importance. That is why I strive to get the best grades that I can. I work hard in the class room and it pays off for me. I keep a high GPA and regularly make honor roll. I am involved in numerous events outside the classroom also. I help volunteer coach for the young wrestling kids. I am the weight lifting coach outside of school for our football team. In the summer I volunteer a week to help kids learn about asthma and I am also a member of MBI.
I want to attend a college that brings out the best in me and where I can do the most for others. I want to compete at the highest level of athletics that I can and push myself to my limits both on the field and in the classroom. I am open to almost all options and am keeping an open mind. Anyone who is willing to give me the chance I promise that I will do what is asked of me and be the hardest worker there is.
