My name is Jordan Fehr, I am a junior at Providence High School in Charlotte, North Carolina. I am 6'2", 210 lbs middle linebacker. My freshman year I started at strong safety on JV, then going into my sophomore year I switched back to my natural position at linebacker. I started varsity my sophomore year and led my team in tackles and interceptions. I earned first team All-Conference and Most Valuable Linebacker Award for my team. We hosted our first home playoff game and moved on to the second round of the state playoffs, eventually losing to the state champions. My junior year, I was a Captain and led the team in tackles again. I also earned first All-Conference for the second year in a row and was nominated as a finalist for best linebacker in Charlotte. We finished the year with a 10-4 record and made it to the state quarterfinals, eventually losing to the state champions again. These past two seasons have some of the best seasons that Providence football has experienced in over a decade, and I am excited to continue our new tradition in the future.
A quote that I live by is by Paul "Bear Bryant: "It is not the will to win that matters--everyone has that. It is the will to prepare to win that matters." When I started tackle football at the age of 6, I fell in love with the game, but I knew I wasn't the most gifted athlete, so I had to find a way to stand out. In my sophomore year, I truly realized that hard work and preparation gave me the upper hand over my opponents. I found my edge in the weight room and in my film study. While reading the book, The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership by John C. Maxwell, I learned the Law of Process and that translated directly to football for me. The game of football is a long process which is why I have been dedicated to working out and learning the game since fourth grade. My natural leadership and my preparation both on and off the field is what makes me different from everyone else.
In school, I have maintained a 4.0 GPA while being active in many clubs and extracurricular activities including Spanish Club, Key Club (community service), Leadership and Student Council. I am an active member in my church, volunteering as an usher and in the children ministries over the past 6 years. I am also an employee at Chick-fil-A and own my own lawn mowing business.
I take pride in being a leader, in my preparation, and being a student of the game. Hard work pays off and I apply this mentality to my life both on and off the field. It would be an honor to have you view my profile and highlight tape.
Thank you.
