Personal Statement

My collegiate goals and aspirations are to work hard and earn a Bachelor's Degree in the Sports Management or Business field and show leadership both in the classroom and on the field. What makes me a good candidate for their team is that I will work hard to become a better me than I was the day before. Giving up is not an option, the game is never over until the clock count down to zero and the last play is over. What makes me different in character is that I keep a positive attitude even when the odds are against us. While it's all business on the field, I am generally a happy go lucky person and like to get my teammates to relax by making them laugh from time to time.  Athletically I have a good football IQ and I am a play-maker. I have been playing football since age 5 beginning with Flag. I then played 6 years of Pop Warner and 2 years at Middle school. I continued playing throughout High School. While I would like to believe that I know the game pretty well, I know that there are may things about the game of Football I still need to learn and want to learn. I realize that it takes the whole team to win a game, whether or not they are on the field or standing on the sideline. The sideline brings a lot of energy to the game and makes you want to try that much harder. I am a honest person that believes in hard work and dedication and I am not a selfish player. If by some remote chance I am unable to get the job done, then of course  I want the ball in the hands of the player that can. However, I can and will get the job done! As for my academics, I plan to work hard, developed good study habits, partner up with someone that is serious about being successful and maintain a good GPA.

Events

  • Camp/Event
  • VTO Sports Combine Invitation Only Elite 100 Showcase
  • 3/20/16 to 3/20/16
  • As I had hoped for after the last VTO Sports Event, I was invited to attend the Elite 100 Showcase! The Combine was very competitive and exciting! i met some great athletes from all parts of NC. I put in a lot of hard work and the coaches were very helpful. I got a real inside look at what is expected of me to play at the next level.
  • Camp/Event
  • VTO Sports Combine
  • 1/31/16 to 1/31/16
  • After a very competitive workout that tested strength, speed, skill, football IQ, agility and a very stiff competition, I was selected as one of the Top Five Performers. I received excellent advice from the trainers and Coach Vince Jacobs and I am hoping that I will be one of the athletics that are invited to compete in the Elite 100 coming soon.
  • Camp/Event
  • Turner Gill Skills Positon Football Camp
  • 7/14/15 to 7/14/15
  • The coaches were very informative. They went over exactly what they look for in a prospect. They showed us there Wall of Fame of the many NFL players that attended there school. They were very impressed with me and my skill level. I was introduced to the Running Backs coach because they had never heard of where I was from and my school. He asked that my highlights be sent to him. He also said that he would monitor my progress throughout the football season.
  • Camp/Event
  • Ruffin McNeill Prospect Football Camp and Skills Position Camp
  • 6/14/15 to 6/15/15
  • The coaches gave me a lot of compliments and advice. The Running Backs Recruiting Coach talked with me and my mother at the end of camp. He had seen my film and talked to my high school coach. He invited us to come back for all of the home games, meet the entire coaching staff/professors, and players. We also got a chance to stand on the sidelines during the pre-game warm ups. Being apart of Pirate Nation and getting such a wonderful introduction to what it's like to be a student athlete, gave me a feeling of excitement that I can not put in words!
