My name is DaCameron Corpening my dreams, goals, and aspirations are to get a quality education by all means. I realize that by way of earning a scholarship if possible that would help tremendously. Growing up I've always loved football and knew someday that I would want to pursue it on the collegiate level once I graduated from Freedom High School in Morganton, North Carolina. I understand there are values and morals that make what an education means to someone, I want the best I can get. I didn't obtain the best grade point average that I could have coming from high school if I had gone the extra mile to do the little extra that was needed. I believe in second chances and that everyone at some point in there life will need one. It is what we do with that second chance that determines the type of person we are. Not every collegiate athlete wants to go pro; however I do. I do understand that in order to do so I need to challenge myself at the highest possible level for me and I know that is Division 1 football. My plan is to have a back up plan because no athlete can play forever but one can leave behind a legacy of greatness. Overall I just want to create a better life for me and my family. Right now I currently attend Mars Hill University as a first semester Freshman. I am looking to transfer to a Division 1 University that has an established program that is well organized and designed to create better scholars and men first of all and athlete secondly. I understand that collegiate sports is like having a job and it's a job I'll fully commit to. I'm willing to give 110% to any program that can help me become the best I can be and make it to the top.
