Personal Statement
From a very young age I have been obsessed with the game of football. My interest in the game was sparked by my father, who played football at Purdue, and helped me explore the game. My passion for the game began to flourish in 7th grade when my Pop Warner team went down to Florida and won the National Championship. This is when I realized how much more than just a game football is. This experience showed me how a real team functions on and off the field. How in order to play the game as one unit your team mates need to be your family, your brothers. Once this is achieved anything is possible, which is truly the aspect of football that no other sport can produce. After I realized this, it has helped me bring this attitude of brotherhood to my high school team.
My High school team as a whole is one of the closest teams I have been a apart of; this is due to the strong leadership from my peers and myself and the fact that over my 3 years of playing at my school we have had 3 different coaches. This has put more weight on the shoulders of my fellow seniors and I to have great leaderships. Throughout all of these 3 coaching staffs every staff has valued me as a reliable players due to many facts: I will never go back on my word, I am always playing throughout the whistle, I have great knowledge of the game and great technique, and I am dedicated to the team no matter what. An example of this dedication is the fact that over the past off season I have gain almost 30 pounds, most of which have come from my hard work in the weight room every day. I put in all of this work in to become the best player I can be, so I can help my team become the best we can.
