Personal Statement
I live in Minot ND. I love the Middle Linebacker position and have played it since the 3rd grade. I was the starting running back and middle linebacker for Minot ninth grade and also played JV along with being invited to practice with varsity after 9th grade and JV season ended. For the 2013 season, I won the starting position at Middle Linebacker as a Sophomore for the Minot High Magicians. We're division 3A in ND and play the largest teams in the state. We had a very good team with a 9-2 record and played in the State semi final game. I was second on the team in total tackles behind a Senior All State Linebacker. I gained another 20 pounds from working hard that offseason and was ready for the 2014 season. I suffered a knee injury during the 6th game and did not play the remainder of the season. However I still made all Conferance as and our team went all the way to the state final game!
Going into my senior season, I view it as a thrill just to play football. I take nothing for granted and posess a tireless work ethic and have came back stronger, bigger and eady to play! I believe we will have a great team and look forward to being a leader teammates can learn from, seeing my dedication as an example of what hard offseason and in season work can do. ...Update... We finished the season 10-2 and took it all the way to the state championship game. We had a great year and I was blessed with good health and started at both Fullback and Linebacker. I was fortunate to have played with great teammates and also to have won several awards along the way.
This past summer I had the fortune to attend a few college camps and I love the thought of playing on Saturdays. Playing college football has been my goal since grade school and I will continue to work hard to make that dream come true. I've always looked at football as my dream sport and feel fortunate to be able to play what I consider to be the most challenging and fun sport there is.
