Personal Statement
I started all 10 varsity football games as a sophomore, led our team in tackles and was selected as NSAA District 8 football, First Team. I have also wrestled for 3 short years, and my personal goal is to be a student-athlete at the Division 1-A level and graduate with a 4 year degree in finance or agriculture.
Through working out, life lessons, and jobs around the house, my father has been the biggest influence in my life. He was a student-athlete at the Division 1-A level for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, a 2x All-American Wrestler, 2x academic all Big Eight, and a Big 8 Conference Champ. His achievements in life have inspired me to be a Student Athlete at the Division 1 level.
I know it takes discipline and mental toughness, and the desire to do what others will not, and a great support system to reach my goals. Some obstacles that I have over come in my life are having to wrestle an upper weight class against upper classman and being mentally tough enough to compete with only 3 years of experience. I understand as an athlete the need to put in the extra time and work to reach my goals. The results of my work was a Conference Championship, District Runner up and State qualifier, all as a sophomore. I look forward to my next challenge.
