With only one year of experience in football before high school, I excelled as a team captain and starting running back for my freshman team - scoring 6 touchdowns and having over 900 all purpose yards. With hard work, passion and dedication to the sport in the off season, I held my spot as team captain and starting running back on the JV team, became the starting kick returner and back up middle linebacker. After scoring 12 touchdowns for the season, 2 from kick returns that were over 80 yards long, and over 1400 all purpose yards, I received the award for Most Improved Offensive Player and was moved up to Varsity. While achieving all these accomplishments, I managed to keep a 3.5 GPA with pre AP and honors courses.
With this being said, I will continue to work hard in the classroom, on the field and in the gym. I will take my hard work, positive attitude and outlook on life to increase my GPA and will take full advantage of playing both offense and defense, my junior and senior years, to open up all possible doors to play football at a collegiate level and earn a degree to excel in my future endeavors.
Not only will I achieve the high expectations my coaches and teachers set for me,but look forward to setting a great example for my younger siblings and making my parents proud.
