My name is Patrick Cullen from Conway, NH and I am writing to you because of my interest in playing football for your program. I’ve played on the Varsity team on my high school team for 4 years and I consider myself a player that has experienced some great growth physically and mentally in just this past year. Hasn’t been until this year, my senior year, that I thought I could play beyond HS. I also play Varsity Lacrosse and Basketball and feel those two sports have helped me with my agility, coordination, speed and quickness.
I am a 6’4” 205lb Wide Receiver, Tight End and Outside linebacker on my team, play just about every down during every game and love it. We have a great off season program, a camp and two a day sessions before the season starts here at Kennett High School and I take full advantage of it. I’m not sure if I’ve missed a workout or camp the four years I’ve been playing. The work ethic has carried over for me this school year, probably because I feel so great physically. I head to the gym every morning at 5:30 for my workouts, head to school after that for the day, then off to practice and home for my dinner and homework. We’ve got a pretty complicated playbook and I feel I’ve mastered it. I know all the blocking assignments and pass routes for every position (helps me coach the younger kids on the team at this point) and I’ve done real well with it.
As a student, I am above average and consistently get mostly A's and B's. I currently have a GPA of 3.2. My math skills and writing are strong and I would ultimately love to become an electrician, love working with my hands.
I know I've entered the recruiting game late but I feel I am showing great growth at just the right time and am having a great season. I'm sure in the coming years I'll make even great progress as part of your program. I hope that you are able to see me play or I am able to visit your school and check out your program.
I would love to meet you and talk about the possibility of being a part of your team. If there is anything I can do to help you decide whether I might be a good fit for your program please don’t hesitate to ask. I will follow up with you soon by phone and if you have any further questions I look forward to answering them for you.
Thank you very much for your time and I look forward to hearing back and contacting you via phone very soon.
