Personal Statement
Since I started playing football, I knew I had a very strong passion for it. Ever since Middle School I’ve know I needed an athletic scholarship whether it be for football, basketball, or baseball. When I play basketball and baseball I don’t get the same feeling that I get from football. I take football personally, which is why I give 110% on every play. I go hard on offense, defense and special teams. When I put my helmet and pads on, I fear no one. I tell myself, the person in front of you doesn’t want it as bad as you do, he doesn’t know what football means to you. I make myself the hardest working man on the field no matter who I’m up against. I know football is a privilege, my grades come first. I give the same effort in the classroom that I do on the field. I have the same mindset, I have to be the best. I have to work the hardest. I have to be the fastest. If I see my teammates slacking in practice, I tell them that they have to want to be out here. I tell them that them being out on this field doesn’t make them a football player. A football player is a person who will go nonstop. A football player doesn’t do just the minimum, he doesn’t go to the locker room after practice is over. A football player is a person who will be at practice 2 hours early and leave 2 hours after practice is over. A football player never stops grinding. He will work until he reaches his goal and even at that point the grind doesn’t stop. A true football player’s grind never stops. I am a TRUE football player.
