As the only football player to have been accepted into the Medical Science Academy within my High School I look forward to continuing to explore my interest in the Science, Technology, and Engineering fields. While doing so, continuing to excel in my academic accomplishments. Through the program's curriculum I look forward to narrowing down more specific areas of interest to pursue in college. Participation in this academy shows my willingness to work hard and take on a challenge.
As a student and as a player I have developed strong relationships and earned the respect of teachers, coaches, classmates, and teammates. On the field as well as in the classroom I am quick to pick someone up after a mistake. I have a team first mentality both on the field and in academic groups. I pride myself in the relationships and friendships I have built socially. I am not confined to one social group. I have close friendships that are not all interconnected.
My Freshman Football year was extremely exciting. I was moved up to Varsity and earned my letter. My strengths as a player include my situational awareness on the field, knowledge of the game and its history, my dedication to becoming a better player, my physical strength, never giving up, and playing to the whistle. As a Freshman Captain I was a respected leader on the field. After earning a position on the Varsity roster I was quickly accepted and respected by my Varsity teammates. I am eager to continue to grow as a player and earn a position on a college team in the future.
I was introduced to Javelin my Freshman year and was proud to end the season as the number one Freshman in New Jersey and top 25 in the country .
