Personal Statement
ONLY INTERESTED IN D1-A TRANSFER OPPORTUNITIES.
For the 2009 season I accepted a scholarship offer at D1-A Temple University (MAC Conference). I was hit by a car while on a bicycle just prior to the second game (Penn State) of this season. There were no broken bones or any permanent injuries. I returned to practice late in the season, participated on the scout team, and traveled and suited for the bowl game against UCLA. I retained a "standard" red-shirt status not "medical" red-shirt.
My grades were in the top 10-20% of the team with a 3.1 GPA that may have been even better had it not been for time lost due to the accident. Due to the time lost this season and the significant depth of this team at offensive line, I have weighed my options and understand the implications of transfer, and have decided to pursue an opportunity with another program that has a comparable business program where I can move further up the depth chart faster. My athletic goal is to earn as much D1 football game time as possible with my remaining eligibility and achieve a starting role with hopes of returning to another bowl game.
My academic goal is to complete an MBA in a strong business school before eligibility expires. (Fox School of Business ranked top 20 in USA by Financial Times).
My "short term" athletic goal is return to, play in, and help win a D1 bowl game. Ultimately, my long term athletic goal is to earn a spot at the next level, no matter what that takes or how long it takes to get there.
