Personal Statement
My name is Ben Bertram, I am a sophomore defensive end at Sandia High School in Albuquerque, NM. In my short life many things have changed, but one constant has been my love for football. One attribute that I have always prided myself on is the fact that I will give 100% on every play of every game. It is my goal to compete at the highest level of college football that my physical skills and work ethic will allow. I am constantly working to improve my strength, explosiveness and footwork. My relentless work ethic has been a huge asset to my football development and will benefit any team. I love the brotherhood the sport of football provides, and I would be honored to be given the opportunity to add to the history of the greatest sport on the planet.
Although I am very passionate about football, I understand that I am a student athlete and grades always come first. My father instilled in me at a young age that education leads to success. I will work tirelessly in an effort to raise my GPA, and test scores. If I am given the opportunity to play college football, I will put the same amount of effort into my degree as I will on offseason training.
